If you do not see NDI Source listed as an available source you have either not installed the NewTek NDI SDK correctly or have rebooted the computer after installing the SDK. Active NDI streams on your local network are automatically detected. In the properties of the NDI source, select which NDI stream you want to receive and display. Simply click the + icon above the sources to add a new source and select NDI Source. Once your local network contains one or more NDI streams you can add them as a source in Streamlabs Desktop. If you are encountering issues receiving an NDI stream with Streamlabs Desktop make sure that the application generating the NDI stream is allowed through the firewall and that Streamlabs Desktop receiving the NDI stream is also allowed through the firewall and that both connecting computers are on the private network profile. You will first need to setup your output in order to setup your reception. So you need another application that is capable of capturing and sending out an NDI stream on your local network. The Bitrate set in Output Settings is irrelevant and not used by NDI as it uses its own encoding.Ī second method is to set a " Dedicated NDI Output " as a filter to any source in OBS Studio to only create an NDI stream of that source. The NDI stream created does not contain any alpha-channel/transparency and the Video Settings in OBS Studio will be locked when one of the NDI outputs are enabled, as NDI will use the same Output (Scaled) Resolution and Frame Rate set by you there. In the NDI Output Settings dialog you can give the NDI stream a name to properly identify the NDI stream on the network if your have created multiple. The first method is to create an NDI stream of the main (stream) output and/or the preview output (studio mode) in OBS Studio containing all sources visible and the mixed final audio stream, by enabling the NDI Main and/or Preview Output via Tools → NDI Output Settings.
